IS MICROBLADING PERMANENT?
Yes and no. They’re semi-permanent. While they will not wash off like makeup, they will fade over time. Our recommendation is to come and get touched-up every 12-18 months after initial + perfecting session.

IS MICROBLADING FOR EVERYONE?
We wish! Ideal candidates for microblading are clients that have over plucked brows, asymmetrical brows, sparse or patchy brows, hair loss (from previous medical treatments)…. or those who simply want to wear less make-up and darken or enhance light-colored brows. The following conditions, however, are contraindicated for microblading and will determine whether or not you are a candidate:

  • Individuals under 18 years or over 65 years of age

  • Skin conditions: Excessively oily skin, eczema, psoriasis, rosacea, dermatitis, post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation, rashes or other skin conditions (in the eyebrow area)

  • Botox (must wait 4 weeks following botox if in brow area)

  • Blood conditions: Transmittable blood viruses, anemia, hemophilia, on blood thinners (microblading will create excessive bleeding)

  • Autoimmune diseases (e.g., alopecia)

  • Currently undergoing chemotherapy/radiation treatments

  • Currently pregnant or breast-feeding

WILL MY NATURAL EYEBROW HAIR NEED TO BE SHAVED OFF OR REMOVED BEFORE I HAVE THE PROCEDURE DONE?
No way! Your natural eyebrow hair will be incorporated into the eyebrow style we create for you with your natural arch and brow line in mind.  Using your brow bone as a guide, we create a shape that will define your face and lift your eyes - after all, the eyebrows are the punctuation marks of the face. For important instructions on what to do (and what not to do) before your procedure, see our Pre-Care and Post-Care Instructions.

HOW LONG DOES THE INITIAL MICROBLADING PROCEDURE TAKE?
The first appointment is approximately two hours:

  1. We will sit down and review all the aftercare instructions with you so you can achieve maximum results.

  2. Map out the shape of your brows and numb the brow area.

  3. Address any areas of concern and select the perfect pigment.

  4. Go to work in creating precise hair-like strokes that fill-in and define your perfect brow.

DOES THE MICROBLADING TREATMENT HURT?
Most people who have microblading done report only feeling some minor pressure or slight discomfort throughout the procedure. We use a numbing cream to keep you comfortable. While you’re waiting for the numbing cream to work, we will select the color pigment that is best suited to your skin type and hair color. A secondary anaesthetic is used during the procedure to control the sensation and ensure that it is as pain-free as possible.
